Katy, TX | In Home Family Portraits

Hey y'all!! Welcome back! I hope you had the happiest holidays with your loved ones. I know I did by spending a good chunk of December in Mexico, but that's another blog. :)

I am off to a great year by getting to photograph the Price family as they welcome their new baby girl, Victoria, into this world.

It's never really too late for new born photos. BUT for those squishy poses it is recommended you schedule your session for no later than 12 days after birth.

Why?

Well, your baby is most flexible and less likely to squirm and kick out of the swaddle and cute outfits. They will mostly sleep the entire session that can take up to 6 hours depending on how many outfits and poses. Expect them to pee and or poop if wanting naked bum shots, it almost always happens lol.

It is very understandable that as new first time parents, the first 12 days of your baby's life is mostly dedicated to getting the hang of a little human asking for milk every two hours and keeping them alive as Kelli mentioned to me during our session lol. Your baby will change gradually before your eyes but dramatically once you look back a year later, so don't hesitate to contact your photographer for your “newborn” session.

Baby Victoria is almost 3 months in these portraits and she was wide awake for the majority of the session. We still got the traditional portraits with a hint of a lifestyle feel to them.

I have no doubt that Kelli and Terry will be wonderful loving and caring parents to baby Victoria and all their future children! Congratulations and welcome little Victoria!
